Why we ask the hard questions first
Our application starts with the eligibility questions for that exact role. It feels blunt. It also means nobody spends six weeks hoping for a job they were never going to get.
Most application forms ask for your name, your email, your CV, and then leave you waiting. Ours asks how old you are, whether you can relocate, and what your residence status is — before anything else.
It is a colder opening. We keep it because the alternative is worse.
Every role carries its own rules: an age limit driven by visa reality, a German level a team-leader job genuinely needs, a certificate a hospital will check. Asking those first means a candidate who cannot be placed finds out in two minutes instead of six weeks.
One deliberate exception: when the complication is about permits or residence status, it goes to a human recruiter rather than an automatic no. Those cases are exactly where a form gets it wrong and a person gets it right — we changed this after an automatic rule declined three people who were perfectly workable.
