Anyone holding a residence permit under section 24 of the Residence Act may work in Germany.

Questions about staff for Agriculture & seasonal
When should we ask for harvest workers?
As early as possible, ideally two to three months before the season. EU citizens can come at short notice; candidates who need a visa take much longer.
Do EU citizens need a work permit?
No. Citizens of EU countries such as Romania, Bulgaria, Hungary or Slovakia can work in Germany without a work permit.
Do you arrange housing?
We agree with you up front what housing you provide and tell every candidate before they accept, so there are no surprises on arrival.
